I hear a lot of guys complain that women in toronto are cold. Arrogant. Snobby. Self-absorbed. Uptight. Rude. I wonder, can an entire city's female population be so up on itself? Maybe, before you make the huge generalization that all Toronto women are bitches, you need to look at the context. Sorry, but when I am walking home alone from work (for example) at 3 in the morning, I'm not keen on striking up a conversation with a stranger. On the subway? in a coffee shop? in a grocery store? Those are great places to approach a lady- and funnily, all the best places are the ones where people seem loath to speak to one another. Besides, a gal might be in a hurry, or on a phone you can't see (headsets!) or just put off by your approach. Just consider all those things.

That being said, I do think everyone could be a bit more friendly. Ladies, we don't have to assume that every guy who speaks to us or smiles at us is trying to pick up. Maybe he is- can you blame him for try
