Who is Chase McEachern?
Chase McEachern was a star Peewee Hockey player who was on the waiting list for surgery due to a heart defect. He wrote a letter to hockey icon Don Cherry to help promote the need for defibrillators in all schools and hockey arenas. Sadly, before he could send the letter young Chase McEachern passed out during gym class. He lapsed into a coma and died six days later, Feb. 15, 2006.
The Giddy Up and Gallop run starts at 3:30 p.m Sunday September 10, 2006 at Mohawk Racetrack. Signup at runningroom.ca.
